Bug Jewelry
I recently ran across some really beautiful brooches that I just have to share with you. I’m not a big fan of insects, but some of these insect brooches are simply beautiful.
It made me interested in knowing what attracts someone to wanting to wear an insect brooch. It seems that many of the insects represent a metamorphosis or a rejuvenation or are symbols of good luck. The symbolism is rather nice when you think about it. It’s a great reminder of changes you may be going through such as a recent divorce, losing weight or moving to a new town and taking on a new job.
Pairing these beautiful brooches with a beautiful scarf will certainly turn a plain blouse or dress into a fashion statement. Why not find one that symbolizes some changes you’ve gone through?
Beetle Brooches
The first insect brooches I’d like to share with you are beetles. For some reason, I always think of the big beetles on “Mummy” when I see these. I find them interesting, yet a little creepy. Having them bright and colorful helps.
I think what I find most interesting is the variety of colors, shapes and different specimens offered on Amazon. Some of the colors are simply beautiful. Each of these seem to be about an inch in diameter. I think this is a perfect size. This way they’re not too intrusive or gaudy when you wear them. Any of these would look nice paired with a scarf.
Dragonfly Jewelry
Dragonfly jewelry is quite popular. We often associate the dragonfly with good luck, strength, prosperity, peace, purity and harmony. Dragonflies always make me think of summertime. I like dragonflies because of their shape. They are unlike any other insect so they are immediately recognizable.
Ladybug Jewelry
Is there anyone that doesn’t like ladybugs?
These ladybug brooches would look adorable on girls of any age.
Ladybugs are a symbol of good luck. These come in a variety of shades of pinks and reds. Down below you’ll find some honey amber-colored ones too.
Bee Jewelry
There’s just something a little sassy about wearing a bee brooch. Bees represent a certain strength and leadership when you think about the queen bee. Worker bees, or drone bees, represent teamwork and working for the good of the community.
When I was a little girl I had a charm bracelet that every other charm was a bee and the ones in between were beehives.
